Soil & Groundwater Remediation

Technologies applicable to remediation of soil and groundwater are in continuous development and must be applied on a case-by-case basis. To evaluate the most cost-effective treatment or combination of treatment technologies, each site must first be fully characterized to develop a Remedial Action Workplan, which explores options for soil and groundwater treatment independently or assesses a combination of both.

Contaminated soil must be sampled and laboratory analyzed to determine if removal or on-site treatment is applicable. Groundwater requires testing, treatability and modeling studies to predict effects of withdrawals and reinjection.

Brinkerhoff Environmental maintains trained field personnel and a complex array of field sampling and testing equipment capable of recovering soil and groundwater samples for on-site analysis or for transfer to an analytical laboratory.
