Dr. Green: These items should not be disposed of in the same manner as household garbage. You should be in touch with your city or township's waste disposal or recycling facility and inquire as to when the facility will accept these wastes.
Question: Dr. Green, my tap water has a smell of chlorine and stains the bathroom fixtures green. What do you recommend?
Dr. Green: It sounds like you have "hard water," or water containing a high mineral content. You may wish to contact water purification contractors in your yellow pages to get quotations.
Question: I have bronchial problems year round in New Jersey. Is this related to allergies or air pollution?
Dr. Green: New Jersey's combination of plants, industry and climate make this a difficult question to answer. I suggest you discuss it with your physician. You might want to try an indoor air hepa filter and see if that helps.
